iBX Intelligent Bass Extension

The iBX Intelligent Bass Extension maximises the custom driver's capability by enhancing depth and optimising dynamic range through real-time signal analysis. This ensures consistent clarity and power across all listening levels.

P-Flex Surround

Utilising the patent-pending P-Flex Surround, inspired by Japanese Origami art, this innovative design withstands acoustic pressure while maintaining high sensitivity. The pleated structure, reminiscent of Origami folds, effectively counters internal air pressure, ensuring precise driver movement in response to audio signals. This yields enhanced bass extension and meticulous reproduction for superior audio fidelity.

Distortion-free depth

The KC92 incorporates dual 9-inch drivers with a hybrid structure combining shallow, concave aluminum skin and paper cone. Its robust motor system and vented voice coil design ensure linearity and minimal distortion, revealing intricate details at any volume. Optimised for excursion, the KC92 achieves fluid, deep bass down to 11Hz with exceptional clarity and scale.

Power and precision in tandem

The KC92's drivers are arranged back-to-back in a force-cancelling configuration, effectively neutralising reactive forces to reduce cabinet vibration and enhance accuracy and detail. This innovative design allows for immense volume capacity, achieving sound pressure levels of 110 dB from a compact, sealed cabinet, perfectly balancing form and function.

In a subwoofer, power transcends mere volume. The KC92 boasts substantial capability, delivering audiophile-quality sound with 1000W of Class D amplification (500W dedicated to each driver). This robust power ensures precise control, enhancing timing accuracy and dynamic response for detailed sound reproduction and seamless power delivery on demand.

Well connected

The KC92 offers versatile connectivity options, seamlessly integrating with various audio systems. Equipped with both line level and speaker level inputs, it interfaces with any amplifier effortlessly. KEF SmartConnect automatically detects mono or stereo inputs, optimising gain for peak performance. Its line output features a High Pass Filter (HPF) for precise integration. Moreover, it supports KW1 for easy wireless compatibility, enhancing connectivity options.

Tailored soundscapes: the five preset room placements

The KC92 incorporates the Music Integrity Engine (MIE), offering a robust EQ setting that adjusts based on placement. With five pre-set Room Placement Equalisation options, it delivers consistent performance in diverse environments: free space, next to walls, in corners, within cabinets, or in dedicated apartment setups.

Power tailored to your preference

The KC92 offers three power modes to accommodate any system: a 12V trigger for automatic wake-up with connected devices, music sense for activation upon detecting an audio signal, and 'always on' for immediate readiness. This flexibility ensures the subwoofer can meet various system requirements efficiently.

Easy firmware update

The KC92 features a USB-C input, enabling convenient firmware updates for future enhancements. Users can easily bring the KC92 up to the latest specifications from the comfort of their own homes, fully utilising its capabilities for the best possible experience.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders:

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
