If you're short on space or do not need the extra output of larger models consider the REL HT/1003 MKII . It's more compact, equally beautiful, and offers the same build quality as its counterparts. Its design makes it an ideal companion for HT/3D REL theatre setups with Serie T/x.

Equipped with an all-new 300W Class D amplifier, it provides increased headroom and drives a new CarbonGlas™ 10” (250mm) driver. This combination yields remarkable output, delivering twice the volume of the original. The performance it offers at this price point is unparalleled. Additionally, like all the REL HT models, it delivers exceptional music playback, and the optional HT-Air feature offers cutting-edge wireless connectivity.

One of the most significant updates in the entire HT range is achieved by the impressive HT/1003 MKII. In a theater setting, nothing stands out like raw output, even if you don't utilize all of it. The HT/1003 MKII's increase in usable headroom provides a level of ease to the sound that surpasses lesser designs. This model delivers a full 10 dB higher output (twice as loud) compared to its predecessor. Like its larger counterparts, the HT/1003 MKII receives the full suite of MKII upgrades. It features a higher secondary filter that allows energy to extend further up the sonic spectrum, resulting in more explosive sound. Additionally, an all-analogue PerfectFilter™ elevates and extends the deepest bass, while an analogue subsonic filter filters out signals that can cause damage below 20Hz. These enhancements are packaged in the same sleek, sophisticated design that seamlessly complements our Serie T/x and S models for use in HT-3D systems. Furthermore, improvements to the driver, amplifier, and filters elevate this latest version into a seriously musical sub.

The HT/1003 MKII's driver remains a 10” (250mm) CarbonGlas™ construct, maintaining its overall size to suit slightly more modest spaces. Every component has been upgraded to deliver the greatest performance possible. With glass fibre primary cones and true carbon fibre centre caps, this cost-effective yet pistonic cone is lightweight, stiff, and quiet. Larger, more powerful magnets generate greater energy, while upgraded suspension designs permit greater travel, ensuring controlled output all the way to the limits of amplifier and driver. The result is prodigious output for this price point while remaining fast and liquid, as with all RELs.

In a theatre subwoofer, amplifiers do the heavy lifting. For our latest design, we turned to a true Tier One amp supplier that created thicker boards and upgraded power supplies to produce a brutally powerful 300W amp with remarkable longevity. Despite its theatre applications, its big secret is that it excels in musical applications, providing a big and robust sound.

REL input filters are renowned for bringing together ultra-fast analog crossovers, custom-designed elevation filters for deep bass, and integrated limiters. Refined in this second generation, the secondary filters now allow extension to a much higher frequency, resulting in more realistic sound. Additionally, the latest circuit includes an all-analog subsonic filter that minimises the effects of infra-noise from soundtracks. With our optional HT-Air™, you can enjoy great sound without long cable runs, thanks to a tiny transmitter and matching receiver that sends a fast 5.8GHz wireless signal up to 60 feet without digital compression.
