The Eversolo DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is the flagship of Eversolo's DMP streaming series: a complete high-fidelity source component that unites network streaming, flagship DAC conversion, a fully balanced analogue preamplifier, and integrated CD playback in a single, meticulously engineered chassis. It shares its core platform with the standard DMP-A8 Gen 2 , the same AuralEngine processor, 8GB DDR5 memory, and 8.6" display,  then builds on it with master-grade clocking, isolated power architecture, and a built-in disc transport, aimed at listeners who want nothing left to compromise in their digital front end.

Flagship DAC Architecture

At the heart of the Master Gen 2 is a two-chip AKM DAC implementation, pairing the AK4191EQ digital processor with the AK4499EXEQ converter. Separating digital processing from analogue conversion allows each stage of the signal path to be optimised independently for maximum precision. Combined with AKM's Velvet Sound technology, the result is a naturally engaging presentation, vocals, instruments, and spatial imaging rendered with clarity and realism. Playback extends from standard lossless formats such as FLAC, WAV, and APE through to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32bit.

Master-Grade Clocking

Exclusive to the Master Edition is a low phase-noise OCXO (Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator) system clock, holding the audio clock at a stable operating temperature to minimise frequency drift and keep jitter below 50 femtoseconds. Advanced PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) technology further stabilises and synchronises the clock signal, preserving fine detail and natural imaging even during long, demanding listening sessions. For systems built around an external reference, a dedicated master clock input allows full-link synchronisation with standalone clock generators.

Dual-Power Architecture

A separated power supply design isolates digital and analogue circuits at the source, reducing cross-circuit interference that can blur detail and constrain dynamics. The linear power supply achieves an ultra-low 20μV noise floor, giving the DAC and analogue stages a cleaner electrical foundation to work from, the difference is a quieter background and more stable, natural dynamics.

Integrated CD Playback

A custom-engineered top-loading CD mechanism, developed specifically for Eversolo rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf drive, brings physical media into the same unified platform as streaming and local files, with ripping support for building a digital library directly from disc.

R-2R Volume Control & Fully Balanced Preamplifier

Volume adjustment is handled entirely in the analogue domain by a high-precision R-2R resistor ladder, preserving dynamics and fine detail at every listening level without digital attenuation loss. The fully balanced preamplifier architecture supports both XLR and RCA analogue outputs, maintaining natural dynamics and clear sound definition regardless of source.

Comprehensive Connectivity

The Master Gen 2 is built to integrate into any system with ease. Digital inputs and outputs cover coaxial, optical, AES/EBU balanced XLR, and USB audio supporting DSD512 Native and PCM 768kHz/32bit. HDMI ARC/eARC brings lossless audio return from TVs and projectors, a dedicated subwoofer output extends system flexibility, and an SFP optical network port enables pure fibre transmission for users with demanding network-purity requirements.

Wireless — Done Properly

Wi-Fi 6 dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) provides fast, stable wireless connectivity even in complex network environments, while Bluetooth 5.4 enables quick, reliable wireless playback from phones, tablets, and computers without compromising sound quality.

Your Entire Music Library, Unified

Native integration covers all major streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and Deezer, with Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz Connect all supported alongside DLNA/UPnP. Local and networked libraries connect via SMB, NFS, and WebDAV, bringing NAS devices and home servers into a single unified interface, alongside the on-board CD ripping and the M.2 SSD expansion for local storage.

Complete System Control

An 8.6" HD touchscreen and redesigned UI, driven by a 64-bit octa-core processor, deliver fast, fluid control at the unit itself. The Eversolo Control app extends that control to phone, tablet, web browser, and TV, unifying playback, volume, room correction, and system settings in a single interface.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders:

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
