The Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 is a complete high-fidelity source component: a network streamer, flagship DAC, and fully balanced analogue preamplifier combined into a single refined package. Every element of the signal path has been engineered and optimised from the ground up, delivering world-class sound alongside the versatility to anchor virtually any hi-fi or home cinema system.

Flagship DAC Architecture

At the heart of the DMP-A8 Gen 2 is a two-chip AKM DAC implementation, pairing the AK4191EQ digital processor with the AK4499EXEQ converter. Each stage of the signal path is dedicated to a single task, allowing maximum precision throughout. Combined with AKM's Velvet Sound technology, the result is a naturally engaging presentation — vocals, instruments, and spatial imaging rendered with clarity and realism. Playback extends from standard lossless formats such as FLAC, WAV, and APE through to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32bit.

R-2R Volume Control & Fully Balanced Preamplifier

Volume adjustment is handled entirely in the analogue domain by a high-precision R-2R resistor ladder, preserving dynamics and fine detail at every listening level without digital attenuation loss. The fully balanced preamplifier architecture supports both XLR and RCA analogue inputs with up to +10dB of gain, maintaining natural dynamics and clear sound definition regardless of the source.

A Chassis That Earns Its Place

The DMP-A8 Gen 2's wide-body aluminium chassis (388mm × 265mm × 88mm) is machined from aerospace-grade aluminium, combining strength with a premium tactile finish. Beyond its looks, the metal construction acts as natural RF shielding, reducing external interference for a quieter background and greater musical detail. The front panel features a smooth-damped rotary control for volume, input selection, and system functions, with a redesigned display that operates as an intuitive control centre rather than a simple information screen.

Comprehensive Connectivity

The DMP-A8 Gen 2 is built to integrate into any system with ease. Digital inputs include coaxial, optical (supporting PCM 192kHz/24bit and DSD64 DoP), AES/EBU balanced XLR, and USB audio output supporting DSD512 Native and PCM 768kHz/32bit. Eight configurable IIS output modes provide broad compatibility with external DACs. HDMI ARC/eARC brings lossless audio return from TVs and projectors, while a dedicated SFP optical network port enables pure fibre transmission for users with demanding network purity requirements.

Wireless — Done Properly

Wi-Fi 6 dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) provides fast, stable wireless connectivity even in complex network environments. Bluetooth 5.4, powered by a Qualcomm QCC3095 module, enables quick, reliable wireless playback from phones, tablets, and computers without compromising sound quality.

Your Entire Music Library, Unified

Native integration covers all major streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and Deezer, with each platform's features and content ecosystem preserved intact. Streaming protocols including Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, DLNA/UPnP, and Network Audio Adapter are all supported. Local and networked libraries connect via SMB, NFS, and WebDAV, bringing NAS devices, private clouds, and home servers into a single unified interface. An M.2 NVMe SSD slot (accessible without disassembly) allows up to 8TB of on-board music storage to be added at any time.

evotune™ PRO Room Correction

The DMP-A8 Gen 2 includes Eversolo's most advanced room correction system to date. Using DRC-based modelling and FIR filtering, evotune™ PRO analyses frequency, timing, and spatial behaviour throughout the listening environment, creating a custom correction filter that optimises tonal balance and imaging for your specific room. Compatible with USB measurement microphones or a smartphone microphone.

Advanced Audio Processing

A 20-band parametric equaliser covers the full range from 3.51Hz to 20,000Hz, with adjustable frequency, gain, and Q values, plus FIR filter import, loudness control, and dynamic range compression. Up to 16× audio upsampling adds refinement and layering to high-resolution recordings. The proprietary EOS Audio Engine bypasses Android's sample rate conversion entirely, delivering a bit-perfect signal path from source to DAC. System-wide fade in/out applies smoothly across local music, streaming services, and third-party apps.

Complete System Control

The Eversolo Control app allows seamless switching between phone, tablet, web browser, and TV control, with all playback, volume, room correction, and system settings unified in a single interface. The included dual-mode remote (Bluetooth and infrared) features an alloy casing for a premium feel. Wake-on-LAN support means the unit is always ready when you are, with minimal standby power consumption.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders:

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
