A Design that performs

At the heart of the Debut PRO S Balanced is Pro-Ject’s new 10-inch S-shaped aluminium tonearm, meticulously CNC-milled for precise tracking and optimal sound quality. This tonearm is perfect for audiophiles who enjoy experimenting with different cartridges, as the turntable is equipped with an SME connector, allowing easy swapping of headshells. 10-inch S-Shaped Aluminium Tonearm

Building upon the foundation of the Debut series, the Debut PRO S Balanced introduces a new 10-inch S-shaped tonearm, a major upgrade that enhances the overall performance. This tonearm features an aluminium tube mounted into a precisely milled bearing housing, sitting atop a mounting plate that allows for vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustments. The tonearm’s SME-type connector also offers users the flexibility to easily switch headshells, allowing for a versatile cartridge collection tailored to different musical genres or records.

Adjustable VTA & Azimuth

The Debut PRO S Balanced’s tonearm provides users with the ability to adjust both the vertical tracking angle (VTA) and azimuth. By loosening two grub screws, the tonearm height can be precisely adjusted, allowing it to adapt to different turntable mats or cartridges. This customisation ensures optimal performance and sound quality, no matter the setup.

Anti-Vibration Design

The turntable’s plinth rests on three height-adjustable metal feet, each equipped with TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) damping. This anti-vibration system ensures a stable platform free from unwanted resonance, allowing the Debut PRO S Balanced to deliver a pure, undistorted listening experience.

Always the Right Speed

The Debut PRO S Balanced features an electronically controlled speed mechanism that ensures perfect stability and accuracy. Switching between 33 and 45 RPM is a breeze thanks to a simple toggle switch, and the included 78 RPM belt allows you to enjoy shellac records as well. The diamond-cut aluminium sub-platter adds mass to the drive system, improving speed accuracy while also helping to further dampen noise and vibrations.

Dampened Die-Cast Aluminium Platter

The heavy, die-cast aluminium platter is balanced to a high degree of precision, ensuring smooth, accurate playback. The inside of the platter features a ring made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which helps absorb unwanted resonances and minimises issues like wow and flutter. The result is a platter that adds mass to the turntable’s drive system, enhancing overall stability and sound quality.

To maximise the Debut PRO S Balanced's potential, we recommend pairing it with a balanced phono preamplifier. Using a Mini-XLR to Mini-XLR cable will allow you to take full advantage of the turntable's True Balanced Connection, delivering an exceptionally clear and stable signal for audiophile-level performance.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders:

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
