The Hegel H200 is a fully connected integrated amplifier built to bring streaming, DAC, phono, and analogue amplification together in one elegant component. Delivering 150 watts per channel from a Class A/B amplifier section built on Hegel's SoundEngine2 technology, the H200 pairs serious analogue amplifier performance with a high-quality DAC, an MM phono stage, and native support for all major streaming platforms, The H200 is all designed in-house to work as one integrated system.

Key Features:

  • 150W Per Channel Class A/B Amplification – stable into 2-ohm loads with damping factor over 4000
  • Hegel SoundEngine2 Technology – cancels distortion in real time before it reaches the signal path
  • Built-In High-Performance DAC – coaxial, optical, USB-B, USB-A, and network digital inputs
  • Dedicated MM Phono Stage – derived from Hegel's standalone V10 phono stage
  • Balanced & Unbalanced Analogue Inputs – XLR and RCA inputs, plus fixed/variable outputs and headphone out
  • Native Streaming Support – Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready
  • USB Drive Playback – direct playback of up to 10,000 songs from USB
  • Hegel Control App – input, volume, and playback control plus internet radio and UPnP browsing

The Connected Route to Serious Sound

The Hegel H200 is an integrated amplifier for listeners who want one complete component ready for modern music use: streaming, DAC, and analogue connectivity combined with 150 watts of output power per channel. It sits alongside Hegel's fully analogue A200 as one of two listening paths, one connected and one purely analogue. The H200 is built with the amplifier at its centre and the music as the priority, not features for their own sake, but every element working together as a single, considered system.

Built on Control

At the heart of the H200 is a powerful 150W analogue Class A/B amplifier section, though the power rating only tells part of the story. What matters just as much is how the amplifier behaves driving real loudspeakers with real music. Hegel's SoundEngine2 technology reduces distortion in real time, detecting it where it occurs and cancelling it before it can travel further through the signal path. Combined with stability down to 2-ohm loads, the result is an amplifier that stays clean, composed, and controlled even under demanding loudspeaker loads. A damping factor of more than 4000 gives the H200 firm control over loudspeaker drivers, so bass notes start and stop with precision and rhythms become easier to follow: control in service of the music, not for its own sake.

Analogue at Heart

Although built for streaming and digital playback, the H200's foundation remains a serious analogue amplifier. It includes a balanced XLR input, two unbalanced RCA inputs, fixed and variable line-level outputs, and a high-quality headphone output for private listening, giving external DACs, CD players, and other analogue sources a proper place in the system.

A Phono Stage Worth Using

The H200 includes a dedicated Moving Magnet phono input based on the MM section of Hegel's standalone V10 phono stage, using hand-matched FET transistor gain stages together with carefully selected op-amps. Designed for low noise, precision, and musicality, it's a high-performance input rather than a checklist feature.

Digital Done Properly

The H200 features a high-performance DAC supporting digital sources through coaxial, optical, USB-B, USB-A, and network inputs. The USB-A input allows direct playback from USB drives holding up to 10,000 songs, while the network connection opens the door to streaming platforms, internet radio, podcasts, and local music libraries. Because the amplifier, streamer, and DAC are all designed in-house to work together as one system, digital performance depends on far more than the DAC chip alone: power supplies, grounding, clocking, signal routing, and analogue filtering all shape how it actually sounds.

Digital Shielding

In an amplifier housing streaming, DAC, control systems, and analogue amplification within the same chassis, noise control becomes critical. Particular care has been taken in the H200 to protect analogue circuits from digital switching noise, with careful layout, grounding, signal routing, and separate circuit boards for key digital components. The result is a smoother, richer, more detailed presentation, with a quieter background and a stronger sense of musical flow.

Streaming Without the Lock-In

The H200 is designed to work with the platforms people already use. Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Roon Ready are all supported, so listeners can play music directly from familiar apps and devices without learning a proprietary ecosystem. The Hegel Control app adds input selection, volume control, playback commands, internet radio and podcasts, and library browsing through UPnP and the USB drive input, fully integrated with the H200's hardware and firmware for fast, stable streaming.

Made for Daily Life

A core Hegel belief is that a good amplifier shouldn't demand attention every time it's used. Digital Input Sense wakes the amplifier and selects the correct input automatically when a signal is detected. The H200 can also learn volume commands from a TV remote, letting anyone in the home control it naturally, which is useful even in more advanced setups such as an AV receiver connected via an analogue input. Each input can be assigned a fixed volume level for easy integration into home theatre systems, while startup and maximum volume settings prevent unexpected jumps, auto standby reduces power consumption, and display dimming is fully customisable. Control4, Crestron HOME, and Crestron SIMPL support bring the H200 into more advanced smart home systems too.

Ready for the Future

The H200 is designed to stay current, with firmware, app, and feature updates installed automatically as they're released. It also leaves room for future upgrades: its coaxial digital output and DAC Loop feature allow the H200 to send digital signals to an external DAC, giving listeners a simple upgrade path. Use it as a complete streaming amplifier today, add an external DAC later. The H200 remains the central hub, handling source selection, streaming, volume control, and amplification while the rest of the system grows around it.

The Connected Route

The H200 is for listeners who want a complete system without giving up serious performance: powerful enough to drive demanding loudspeakers, refined for careful listening, and flexible for modern homes. It brings together streaming, DAC, phono, analogue inputs, smart control, and everyday convenience in one integrated amplifier, because when features are done properly, they simply make it easier to listen.
