Primare Prisma Technology

The SC15 Prisma MK2 continues the Primare tradition of providing outstanding performance in a compact and elegant device that can be easily installed in almost any living space. The three-quarter-sized cabinet of the SC15 Prisma expands the possibilities for delivering high-quality music performance and access to every room in the house.

The SC15 Prisma MK2 is a full-featured network player and digital-to-analog converter, offering digital-to-analog conversion with up to PCM 384kHz and DSD capabilities. It also provides complete digital media access and system management through the Prisma connectivity and control technology.

With selectable fixed or variable output, the SC15 Prisma MK2 can function as an advanced network player for any system in fixed mode or can be connected directly to a pair of powered speakers for a compact, high-performance stereo system in variable mode.

The SC15 Prisma also features WiSA high-resolution wireless speaker connectivity with WiSA-enabled high-performance powered loudspeakers and subwoofers, providing an additional output option for this versatile performer. Additionally, with WiSA speaker connection, the analog output can be configured for wired subwoofer output.

Network and Multiroom Technology

Prisma represents a comprehensive suite of technologies designed to offer an extensive array of network music player features and functionality. Its primary purpose is to serve as a streaming device that enables everyone in the household to explore, discover, and share the deeply satisfying experience of high-performance music playback. Prisma facilitates multi-room/multi-zone connectivity and control of stored and streamed media, whether wired or wireless, all managed from mobile devices through the dedicated Prisma system control app.

In addition to supporting AirPlay 2, Bluetooth®, Roon Ready*, and Spotify Connect®, Prisma features Chromecast built-in, a unique streaming portal that allows seamless direct connection to hundreds of streaming applications and services, including voice control, for the best possible performance and user experience.

The SC15 Prisma MK2 now includes an automatic Room and Manual EQ function using a program built into the Prisma application. The EQ function is compatible with any iOS mobile device, while Android devices require the Zen microphone (currently on back-order until March 2024).

The Room EQ automatic optimization method is straightforward to use. During the measurement sequence, the speakers will play back pink noise for 60 seconds while the iOS device or Zen mic is moved around the room in large circular motions. The EQ function samples all positions in the room to identify each room mode.

Once the measurement sequence is complete, the speaker compensation will be automatically calculated, and a bass filter will be applied to the system to counteract boundary effects, compensating for the interference caused by the room.

After the room has been measured and the system calibrated using the automatic Room EQ, it is possible to manually adjust the speakers’ response to meet personal preferences.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders:

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
