Compact Design and Powerful Performance

Though a full-width amplifier, the H150 is designed to be easily placed on or in most shelves and cabinets thanks to its slim 35cm depth. Its understated design, available in black and white, fits seamlessly into any room. The robust build features a thick, precision-milled aluminum front panel and control knobs, complemented by a steel top with heat vents that add to its modern look. A clear OLED display in the center is easy to read from a distance and can be dimmed or turned off completely.

Don't let the H150's 2x 75W power rating fool you. This is not a typical amplifier. Its custom Class AB amplifier design, with Hegel's patented SoundEngine 2 technology, delivers a class-leading damping factor of 2000 and stable operation down to 2-ohm loads. SoundEngine 2 preserves musical details and dynamics with stunning clarity, creating an engaging and lifelike listening experience. Powered by a large, ultra-low-noise toroidal transformer and high-speed capacitors, the H150 has the grip and punch to effortlessly control all but the most demanding speakers.

Inside, a custom-designed, four-layered digital-to-analog converter (DAC), inspired by our acclaimed Viking CD player, extracts rich, detailed sound from both connected digital sources and the internal streaming section.

Unrivaled Connectivity and Ease of Use

The H150 comes ready to stream right out of the box with support for Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast™, Apple AirPlay, and UPnP. This list is constantly growing, and automatic firmware updates keep your amplifier at the cutting edge.

Connecting your other devices is simple with two optical inputs (one TV-optimised), one coaxial input, a USB-B, and a network port. A USB-A socket lets you connect a flash drive or hard disk, and you can even charge your phone or laptop. The Hegel Control app handles library browsing. A coaxial digital output can also forward digital signals to a second system or an external DAC in a DAC-loop mode, offering unmatched flexibility at this price point.

The H150 excels with analog sources too. It includes an unbalanced analog RCA input, a true balanced XLR analog input, and a high-quality Moving Magnet phono input that delivers details and dynamics usually found in dedicated phono preamps. The amplifier also features a quality headphone output and a variable line-level output for adding subwoofers or external power amps.

The H150 is designed to be as easy as possible to use. Anyone in your household can enjoy it without reading the manual. Input-sensing on digital inputs and streaming automatically wakes the amp and selects the correct source. Adjustable auto-standby saves energy, and popular TV remote codes are pre-loaded for seamless volume and power control. You can fix any input to a high output level, allowing you to control the volume with a connected device like a home cinema receiver. Multi-room audio is available via AirPlay, Google Cast, or Roon, and you can even use voice commands with Google Home or Apple Home. Full control is also available from the included remote or the free Hegel Control app, which includes built-in internet radio and podcasts.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders:

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
