Magneplanar MG2.7i Floorstanding Speakers

The Magnepan MG2.7i is a pair of 3-way, full-range planar magnetic loudspeakers. Both the bass and midrange drivers feature aluminum foil "quasi-ribbon" conductors bonded to a Mylar diaphragm, which is subtly visible through the front grille cloth. In contrast, the True Ribbon Tweeter uses a free-floating aluminum foil strip suspended without a substrate. Sound is generated when an AC signal flows through these aluminum conductors, causing them to react with surrounding magnet arrays positioned behind the Mylar for the low/mid frequencies and along the sides of the ribbon tweeter. This electromagnetic movement vibrates the components, projecting audio in a dual-directional dipole pattern forward and backward.

Magneplanar LRS+ Floorstanding Speakers

Following in the footsteps of the highly acclaimed LRS, the LRS+ takes it up a notch. Ribbon and electrostatic speakers are elegant and simple. The air is moved and sound waves are created by moving an ultra-light film or aluminium ribbon. Ultra-low mass enables the ribbon to respond quickly to the electrical signal from the amplifier. What you hear is higher definition.

Put a small speaker in big room, too little bass. In general, it is true. There is no one-size-fits-all. Adding one or more of the Maggie Bass Panels accomplishes the same results as pulling out the bass section of your existing Maggie to a larger size.

Magneplanar MG30.7 Floorstanding Speakers

With its highly coherent wave-launch, free standing imaging, vast soundstage, phenomenal resolution of inner detail, lightning transient response, incomparable naturalness of timbre, and total lack of box coloration and diffraction, the 30.7 is markedly less “there” as a sound source (and markedly more lifelike on voice and acoustic instruments) than almost every dynamic-speaker-in-a-box, no matter its price.

Magneplanar MG20.7 Floorstanding Speakers

These Maggies' magical ability to transport listeners to a different space and time, and to there realistically recreate (with lifelike scope and size) the sound of acoustic instruments and the venue they were recorded in is extraordinary. It almost goes without saying (since these are Magnepans), but the 20.7s are also incredibly good values, although you're going to have to bring a lot of power to this party, and you're going to need a good deal of room to house two speakers the size and width of a couple of NFL line-backers.

Magneplanar MG3.7i Floorstanding Speakers

Please Note: This item cannot be ordered online. If you are interested, please click on the 'Enquire' button above. The 3.7i is the first model in the floor-standing lineup to incorporate the famous ribbon tweeter along with quasi-ribbon bass and midrange drivers.

Magneplanar MG1.7i Floorstanding Speakers

Please Note: This item cannot be ordered online. If you are interested, please click on the 'Enquire' button above. High in resolution, low in distortion, with enough bass and treble (of superlatively high quality) to satisfy anyone save a headbanger, and a midrange that reproduces well-recorded voices and acoustic instruments with jaw-dropping realism, it is one of those "sweet-spot" wonders that pops up every decade or two.  The 1.7 gave you a generous taste of everything its bigger and more expensive Maggie brothers were capable of for a fraction of what you'd pay for the same wonderment in a top-line dynamic speaker.
