Michell GyroDec Suspension Springs and Adjuster Kit

Upgrade kit for original specification GyroDecs with single-piece steel suspension pillars, This kit now includes rubber-coated suspension springs. This upgrade simplifies adjusting the chassis height and spring position, enabling you to perfectly set up your turntable. With the turntable now effectively supported on three pin points, performance is also enhanced. Unlike the original design, the suspension pillar consists of three parts: a suspension spindle, thrust ball, and hollow pillar. The spindle is fixed to the base of the turntable, with the thrust ball at its top. The hollow pillar encases this assembly and supports the spring, which in turn holds the chassis. This configuration provides a three-position, high-pressure, point contact suspension system, minimising structural vibrations from reaching the sensitive components of the turntable.

Michell Synthetic Turntable Bearing Oil

Michell use a proprietary synthetic oil to lubricate the main bearing in all their turntables. The oil has to be a precise viscosity to enable the inverted bearings to circulate the oil correctly.

Michell GyroDec/Orbe Arm Plate Decoupling Kit

Available to original GyroDec / Orbe owners whose turntable has the arm plate attached using long screws and straight through spacers.   The new assembly isolates the arm plate from the chassis of the turntable using a redesigned arm plate spacer.

Please Note: This is not compatible with an original aluminium GyroDec platter, please upgrade to the impedance matched platter. Contrary to traditional designs, Michell's current main bearing has the point of rotation at the top of the assembly, not at the bottom. This orientation allows them to fully lubricate the inside of the entire bearing while the platter is turning.
